Stock Traders Daily Comments on AMZN

Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) has developed a great way to capture eyeballs, that is its retail business, but that is largely not profitable, and even sometimes has negative margins. Still, that business is used in conjunction with valuation observations, where we believe it should not be. We are not removing it from our model, but our opinion is that the retail side of the business would be worth as much as it earns if it were a standalone entity, and it earns virtually nothing, but it does provide a means for re-directing eyeballs to its other businesses. We must appreciate that, but we can't ignore valuation.  Additional Details: AMZN Research Report
