Technical Analysis: SNY, GENZ, MMM, DGIT

Sanofi-Aventis attempted to woo Genzyme with a $69 buyout offer.  Today, Genzyme rejected the offer, which is not surprising.  SNY seems to be attracted to GENZ because of the potential cost synergies of the combined entity.  They also believe the headwinds faced by GENZ have already been addressed by the company, and GENZ is on track for a productive growth period.  Still, GENZ management is not jumping up and down, and the offer is being considered by some as an underbid.  The only question is, at that level, who else would be prepared to bid?  Stock Traders Daily has offered detailed technical analysis on each of these companies.  Members can find these detailed trading reports, with specific entry levels and risk controls, immediately in the members area.

3M (MMM) will acquire Cogent for $10.50 per share; MMM also sees this deal to be slightly accretive after costs.  COGT shares are rightfully up on the news, but the real question exists in the shares on MMM.  Investors in the acquiring company must always be conscious of the interest in that company after an offer is made.  Therefore, Stock Traders Daily has offered a detailed analysis for MMM for its members to review.  This includes risk controls of course.  Simply login to the members area for details.

DG FastChannel has guided Q3 and FY10 revs below consensus, the company also announced $30 million stock buyback.  This is a small company, and the revenue miss will be significant.  The miss is roughly 15% lower than consensus estimates.  However, DGIT also admits to a product shift which has put off some revenues, of which it expects to still capture before the end of the year.  Comfortable with full year results, the company maintains its full year growth forecast.  So, is this a good time to buy?  Stock Traders Daily has offered a detailed report to subscribers in the members section.  Members should review it now for probable entry levels and associated risk controls of course.
